Why Choose Ellendale Environmental For Environmental Noise Assessments?

Our team has over 15 years’ experience of undertaking environmental noise and surveys on a range of projects from wind farms to recycling centres, hydro schemes to quarries. Using our experience from projects in a range of sectors, our noise surveys and assessments can be tailored to suit your project.

Most noise impact assessments will require a survey to measure existing levels of noise and calculations to show the effect of future noise from a proposed development on its neighbours. Existing noise, such as traffic, can also be measured and assessed where new housing is proposed.

Operational sites may need support to show compliance with noise limits attached to their permit or licence, or to show compliance with health & safety obligations on noise exposure for their workforce.

Construction noise may also need to be measured and reported in accordance with environmental management plans, and support can be provided should a construction site need to operate at more sensitive times.

Ellendale Environmental can provide the following acoustic services:

  • Environmental noise monitoring, prediction and assessment in support of planning and permitting applications for proposed housing schemes, mixed-use developments and industrial sites, to include Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

  • Assessments for wind energy developments, including Section 36 planning applications and post-planning Section 42 support

  • Occupational noise assessments (Noise at Work) and workplace training for employees

  • Compliance noise surveys and reporting for operational sites as part of permit or licencing commitments, including Noise Management Plans and BAT appraisals

  • Construction noise monitoring, reporting and management plans, including Section 61 support

  • Consultation and liaison with SEPA, the Environment Agency and local authority Environmental Health Officers
