Ellendale Environmental are pleased to have become a sponsor of Wader Quest

Many of our ecologists pursue a career in consultancy following their passion and hobby of watching wildlife. At Ellendale we encourage our team to continue their ecological interests outside of work and to follow their passions.

One such case is Andrew who has been an active fundraiser and trustee for Wader Quest for the last five years. Wader Quest are a small conservation charity which as the name suggests focuses on promoting the conservation and protection of waders and their habitats.

Wader species have suffered worldwide declines through habitat loss, hunting, pollution, human disturbance and climate change and are an often over-looked taxa when it comes to conservation priorities.

Wader Quest offer support to individuals and small conservation charities working on wader conservation projects throughout the world with examples in Australia, Brazil, Thailand and South Africa as well as closer to home in The Wash and The Moray Firth.

Over the last year Andrew has been working on the registration process to allow Wader Quest to become a registered charity in England and Wales. Andrew realised this goal in June and to help him celebrate the achievement Ellendale are proud to announce our corporate sponsorship of Wader Quest.
